Terms of Service

These terms ("Terms") are an agreement between you and the Connect team for use of the Connect platform (helpdesk, product roadmap, help center, training center, and any features we add later). By creating an account or using Connect, you agree to these Terms. If you are using Connect on behalf of a company or team, you confirm that you have authority to agree on their behalf.
1. The service
Connect is a hosted software platform that lets small SaaS teams run customer support, collect feedback, publish help articles, and deliver training courses from one place. We will use reasonable efforts to keep Connect available, useful, and improving over time.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your login details secure.
- You are responsible for everything that happens under your workspace, including actions taken by your teammates.
- You will not share a single user login between multiple people; create a seat per teammate.
- You will tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Connect to:
- Break any law or infringe anyone's rights.
- Send spam, phishing messages, or unsolicited bulk email.
- Upload malware, scrape the service, or attempt to break its security.
- Store payment card numbers, government IDs, health records, or other regulated data the service is not designed for.
- Resell or white-label the service without our written agreement.
We may suspend a workspace that materially breaches these rules, with notice where reasonably possible.
4. Free trial and paid plans
- Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. No card is required to start.
- If you upgrade to a paid plan, fees are charged in advance and renew automatically each billing period until cancelled.
- Prices are listed on the pricing page and may change with 30 days' notice for existing customers.
- VAT, GST, or other applicable taxes will be added where required.
5. Refunds and cancellation
You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep access until then. We do not offer pro-rata refunds for partial months, but if you cancel within 14 days of an annual renewal we will refund the unused months on request.
6. Your content and customer data
You keep all rights to the content you put into Connect, including tickets, articles, roadmap items, and training material. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display that content solely to provide the service to you. You can export your data at any time from Settings → Workspace.
You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and store data about your customers, and for honouring their privacy requests. Our role with respect to that data is that of a processor; see our Privacy Policy for detail.
7. AI features
Connect offers AI-assisted features, including reply drafting and a help center assistant. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before sending it to a customer or publishing it. AI output is provided "as is" and may be inaccurate; do not rely on it for legal, medical, or financial advice.
8. Our intellectual property
The Connect software, brand, logo, designs, and documentation are owned by us. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or resell them. Feedback you send us about Connect may be used to improve the product without obligation to you.
9. Availability and support
We aim for high availability and publish a status page. We do not promise that Connect will be uninterrupted or error-free. Email support is included on every plan; response times depend on the plan you are on.
10. Beta features
We release some features as beta or preview. They may change, break, or be removed. Beta features are provided as is and are not covered by any service level commitment.
11. Termination
- You can stop using Connect and delete your workspace at any time.
- We can suspend or terminate a workspace for a material breach of these Terms, non-payment after reasonable notice, or for legal reasons.
- On termination, your data will be deleted 30 days after the workspace closes, unless we are legally required to keep it.
12. Warranties and liability
To the extent permitted by law, Connect is provided "as is" and we do not give any implied warranties (such as merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose). Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data, beyond what the law requires.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited under applicable law.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the service, the content you upload, or your breach of these Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be heard exclusively by the courts of England and Wales, unless your local consumer protection law gives you a stronger right.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email to workspace owners at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the new Terms.
